Pinterest Privacy Policy

1) Information We Process

When you use Pinterest-connected features, Velamum may collect or process information necessary to provide those features.

• Velamum Account Information: information associated with your Velamum account, such as your account identifier, name, email address, and relevant account settings.
• Pinterest Account Information: information made available by Pinterest for the authenticated account and authorized by you.
• Pinterest Boards: information about Boards associated with your authenticated Pinterest account where required to allow you to select a destination for content.
• Pin Information: information necessary to prepare or manage Pins you choose to create or publish through Velamum.
• Authorization Information: OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, account identifiers, authorization status, token expiration information, and related technical information necessary to maintain your authorized Pinterest connection.
• Scheduled Content: images, titles, descriptions, destination links, Board selections, scheduled publication times, publication status, and other information you provide when scheduling Pinterest content.
• Technical Information: application logs, timestamps, API response information, error information, and other technical data reasonably necessary to operate and secure the integration.

2) Pinterest Data We Access

Velamum accesses Pinterest information only through supported Pinterest functionality and according to the permissions authorized by the authenticated user.

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you approve, this may include information about your own Pinterest account, your Boards, and Pins associated with your authenticated account.

3) Pinterest Authorization

Pinterest accounts are connected to Velamum through Pinterest's authorization process.

When you connect your Pinterest account, you choose whether to authorize the permissions presented by Pinterest.

Velamum does not require your Pinterest password and does not ask you to provide your Pinterest password directly to Velamum.

Where provided through the authorization process, Velamum may securely store access tokens and refresh tokens necessary to maintain your authorized connection and perform actions that you request.

4) How We Use Pinterest Information

Pinterest-related information is used to provide the Pinterest features requested by the user.

This may include:

• Connecting your Pinterest account to Velamum.
• Identifying the authenticated Pinterest account.
• Retrieving your available Pinterest Boards where necessary for Board selection.
• Allowing you to select the Board where a Pin should be published.
• Preparing content that you choose to publish.
• Storing user-approved scheduled publication instructions.
• Publishing Pins at the date and time selected by you.
• Recording whether a requested publication was successful or unsuccessful.
• Diagnosing API errors and maintaining service reliability.
• Maintaining the security of the Pinterest-connected service.

5) Pin Creation and Scheduling

Velamum provides content preparation and scheduling tools that allow users to choose content for future publication to their own Pinterest accounts.

Before scheduling a Pin, the user selects or provides the content to be published and chooses the relevant publishing settings.

These settings may include:

• The image or content selected for the Pin.
• The Pinterest Board.
• The Pin title.
• The Pin description.
• The destination URL.
• The requested publication date and time.

Once content has been scheduled, Velamum may automatically submit the previously user-approved Pin to Pinterest at or near the selected publication time without requiring the user to be online at that time.

6) Sharing and Disclosure

Velamum does not sell or rent Pinterest account information or Pinterest authorization credentials.

Information may be processed or disclosed only where reasonably necessary to:

• Provide the Pinterest-connected features requested by the user.
• Communicate with Pinterest through the Pinterest API.
• Operate hosting, infrastructure, storage, security, and other technical services required by Velamum.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.
• Protect the rights, security, or integrity of Velamum, its users, or others.

7) Data Security

Velamum uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the Pinterest integration.

Access to Pinterest authorization credentials is restricted to systems and processes that reasonably require such access to provide the authorized service.

We use appropriate security practices for the transmission and storage of authorization information.

8) Data Retention

Pinterest-related information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the features requested by the user, maintain the authorized Pinterest connection, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or maintain appropriate operational records.

Scheduled Pin information may be retained while the content is pending publication and for a reasonable period afterward to provide publication history, status information, troubleshooting, and account functionality.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted, anonymized, or de-identified where appropriate.

9) Disconnecting Pinterest and Data Deletion

Users may disconnect their Pinterest account from Velamum using available Velamum account functionality when provided.

Users may also revoke Velamum's authorization through applicable Pinterest account controls.

After a Pinterest account is disconnected or authorization is revoked, Velamum will no longer use the associated authorization credentials to perform new Pinterest API actions.

Users may request deletion of Pinterest connection information and other associated information maintained by Velamum, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, and operational retention requirements.

10) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights regarding personal information processed by Velamum.

These rights may include the ability to:

• Request access to certain personal information associated with your Velamum account.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of eligible information.
• Disconnect your Pinterest account.
• Revoke Pinterest authorization.
• Request information about how Velamum processes your information.

11) Pinterest and Other Third-Party Services

Pinterest is an independent third-party service. Pinterest processes information according to its own terms, policies, and privacy practices.

When Velamum submits user-approved content to Pinterest, that content becomes subject to Pinterest's applicable terms and policies.

Velamum may also use third-party infrastructure or hosting providers reasonably necessary to operate its services.

12) Changes to This Pinterest Privacy Policy

We may update this Pinterest Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Velamum's Pinterest-connected features, legal requirements, security practices, or applicable platform requirements.

When this policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page and the Effective Date will be updated.
